Hey, Captain! That loud warning alarm for GEAR DOWN is really hurting my ears, cant you turn it off.....Sure Bob, it really is loud. I'll turn it off After we land. Im busy right now.

@SuperGmantis: It's called task saturation, and it can happen to any of us. Auditory cues are usually the first to go in cases of stress.

High altitude landing (~5.6K ft on altimeter) on a short, up-sloped field (2000ft. of runway at most), with hills all around. This pilot was clearly in over his head and was so focused on getting in that he blocked out everything else including the glaring horn. And he came in far left of center line to boot. I hope the wine & cheese tasting was worth it.
