1937 Briggs & Stratton model WM engine. These were primarily used on washing machines but were also used on mowers, etc. This one has a rope start instead of the kick pedal and an optional air filter.

  • How did the fuel get to the carb?... I thought the carb was gravity fed.

  • suction from the carb, there is also check valve in the tank to prevent the gas from running back into the tank.

  • interesting , what was it used for in those days?
