the other trick is to constantly sell gear to try new things out and learn. I no longer own any of the things in this vid, for example.

run into into a laptop or pc and use something like vdj or ableton or something along those lines. then overlay your audio and your video.

sure - you just only need something that converts the trigger signals into midi, e.g. the clavia drum brain if you own it. also, there's something made by alesis which i forgot the name of, but it does exactly this... audio trigger its called or so... otherwise, i don't really know the vermona machine. maybe it even has some analog inputs you can directly use? just look up the specs.
