I wouldn't know, but I don't think so.

However, you don't really have to undertand the language to sing. You could learn this song by heart by just repeating the sound of the words, and then sing it perfectly without really knowing the meaning. XD It's the magic of music. :)

@GuamKomudo I can't say for sure, but Phil Collins did the singing for the English (obviously), Italian, French, and Spanish versions for all of the songs in this movie. I doubt that he speaks all of those languages fluently, but it's amazing that he offered to do those.

At first I was like; 'wow this guy sounds just like Phil Collins,' and then I read the comments and it made sense why.

I have to say, I'm pretty amazed. He obviously must be a perfectionist because he has really great pronunciation for a non-speaker, and that's not something that's easy to get right. For example, a lot of foreign opera singers sing in atrocious Italian-- and in their case, it's their job to sing in a foreign language.

Beautiful. Now I'm even sadder he's retired.

@GuamKomudo no he doesnt... he was told after the movie was a big hit in the us that he would have to sing all of the songs again in about 50 other languages (not kidding)... he probably had a little help though... anything you here in a different language is still his voice
