This is one of the most underrated and little known projects out there. This is one of my favorite CDs of all time!

Vid quality may be crap, but it's the only vid I've seen of either of their Chicago performances, so I love it. I was lucky to catch both of their Chicago shows, first this Double Door show, then at the Field Museum. Both were badass. JBTV recorded the Field Museum one, but as far as I know, none of that was ever released or broadcast. This was the first song they played at Double Door, and it just about blew my mind that first time I heard it.

To be honest i barely know about the smashing pumpkins...but i really like JJC and most of their stuff doesn't sound like SP at all to me..so i think dedicated SP fans should respect the guy as a talented individual working on different types of stuff..
by the way though the video is great you should check the studio version before naming this "pointless waste" I wish they had that bass on 3.15 on every loop of the same part. It is colossal :)

I remember watching this video over and over the first night it was on their site; I'm still in awe of how much chemistry is there, how hard he hits, and how flawless his playing is at that volume!

I have to admit it. I like this.
As far as Jimmy playing this type of music it makes sense. He's always talked about his jazz background and this is kind of fusion-y.

How about if someone puts it like this. I absolutely love Jimmy Chamberlin. But i do not care for this style of music. I miss him being with the Pumpkins and Billy... i much prefer that style of music.... See, i didnt hate on this... and my point came across... i think
I had 3 drum heroes growing up.
70s-Billy Cobham.
80s-Neil Peart.
90s-Jimmy Chamberlin.
One could argue the relative pros and cons of all 3 but these 3 played drums with fire and passion.
Yes ,I'm starting to get into all the old jazz cats like Tony Williams now but these 3 will live in my heart.
