  • I read that these etiquette/behavior/social conformity films were specifically to "retool" the WWII era teenager, who had major physical, mental, and even financial independence, turning them back into the docile, deferential, large-size child they were in the pre-war years (but prepared for an adulthood of conformity, consumption, and Cold War in the new era).

  • Ah yes, proper table etiquette. By far, the most daunting issue facing the US in 1945.

  • In these modern times young people disdain the rules of etiquette and prefer to behave like savages.
