why is helicopter called TWIN Squirrel?
-
Its possible to do it with the AAC, ive flown in 2 AAC lynx helicopters, they do offer flights on work ex, i know an AAC groundcrewman, training to be a pilot and an AAC captain which both told me that you can!
-
The Griffin is a completely different helicopter, it's more like a huey
-
umm no you didn't, I looked at doing work experience wit hthe AAC and that's not how it works, they don't just waste money on 15 year olds
-
I flew one of these too when I was 15!! No bullshit.. Me and my mate just smoked a huge bowl of herb and we borrowed one for a test flight and....... Yeah, no you're filling us full of shit and we know it hoss. I have flown one but not until I had about 500 hours in an R22 and $1500/hr cash money to give it a go. FYI, the "no bullshit" gives it away as "bullshit"...
-
It says in the info that it's an AS355 anyway
-
i flew one of these, no bullshit, when i was 15, on my work experience with the army air corps, but it was the single engined version.
superb little helicopter.

This is South Yorkshire Police's Ex-Air Support Unit Helicopter...where was this filmed just out of interest??? Thanks...Great Video!
-
well looking at the helicopter, on the top i can only see one engine unlike the Griffin
-
The one in this video is an AS355 which has twin Allison 250s, the standard Squirrel (AS350) has a Turbomeca Arriel.
