  • I guess I will have to find a ranger or a bear to sleep with!

  • one of my faves other than skydivers and manos

  • @grumpyyyyy sorry, meant that the dub matches their lips! yeah, the music is constantly recycled. Check out JP Simons (same director as Pod people) Pieces, a really hilarious, gory slasher, that they couldnt have done on MST3k. Same lead actor as Pod, same dub. Very funny.

  • @grumpyyyyy OMG... Donald Pleasance is dubbing his own voice in Pumaman? Too awesome.

  • @montyburns9991 MOS means "Motor only sound" so the film is recorded without any sound, and the actors speaking in English (even if they didn't speak English!) so the dub matches their voice. Even sound effects are put in later. For European low budget movies it was common, but Art house movies did it too. ADR is the more common term. English/American actors dubbed their own voices, like Donald pleasance in Pumaman.

  • @grumpyyyyy BTW, what does the acronym MSO stand for? I guess I could enter it into Wiki...

  • @grumpyyyyy Are you saying some of these same voices are in Escape 2000, Pumaman and Devil Fish? Those are on my dock to be watched. I've seen Pumaman so I need to see it again now to hear the voices. I actually transcribe music for a living, so I'm a total aural MST nerd!! Have you ever noticed how much the same crappy music is reused in some of these movies?

  • @montyburns9991 Nearly correct. Filmventures were a distribution company. The movies were filmed in Spain and Italy MOS (without sound) then dubbed in Europe. There was a whole army of actors and dubbing artists (like Nick Alexander), and once you start seeing a lot of low budget exploitation movies, you hear the same voices. Check out escape 2000,pumaman and devil fish. I'm a total nerd!

  • 6:11 Yeah!! Eddie the Head!!! WOOOO!!! \\m//
