sorry for the little break again. but you guys should love me cause i added a chapter! so there's one more after this! mainly i just wanted to get to a certain ending. so yeah. now it's a 6 chapter marathon!

"You are beautiful. Right now you're sick, but you still have your beauty, and your hair and color and everything will come back too."
"That's nice of you to say, but we don't know that. We don't know if they'll find me a donor. And even if they do, the transplant process isn't pretty. You won't even be able to be in the same room as me while they wipe the immune system and then while it recovers. Then most likely, unless they find a perfect match, I will have some level of graf vs. host disease [a/n when the transplanted marrow attacks the host i.e. the person it's been transplanted to], which will cause me to get rashes and all. And if it doesn't work, then who knows. It'll be easier to let go now, so you don't have to go through all the pain later." A couple tears escaped from her eyes, and she quickly wiped them away.
I got up and took one of her hands in both of mine. "First of all, you need to think positively. You're gonna be okay. And second of all, I'm not gonna break up with you no matter what changes. I can't just let go. Yes, this is all gonna be hard because it kills me that you have to go through this, but I can't just turn that caring off because I say I'm going to. I'm here for the long haul. I'm gonna be by your side through all of this even if I can't physically be at your side for whatever reason. Miley can say or do whatever she wants. You can say or do anything you want. I'll still love you, and I'll still consider myself yours and you mine."
She let all her tears out and nodded. "Thank you Nicky."
I hugged her and let her cry into my shirt. "I'll do anything for you, Bec. I love you."
"I love you too. I'm just...so scared."
"I know, but you've got so many people looking out for you. It's scary, but we're gonna get through it, okay?"
She nodded into my chest. Then a doctor walked in and immediately stopped when she saw us. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt," she said.
Rebecca pulled away and wiped her face. "It's okay, Dr. Rosenberg. Nick, this is my oncologist [a/n doctor who specializes in cancer] Dr. Rosenberg. Dr. Rosenberg, this is my boyfriend Nick Jonas."
"It's nice to meet you, Doctor," I said standing up and going to shake her hand.
"You too. I've heard lots about you."
I looked over my shoulder at Rebecca, who looked down and blushed. "During procedures she'd try to distract me by asking about you," Rebecca tried to explain her way out of it. I just smiled at her to try to ease her discomfort and embarrassment.
"And it helped me too," Dr. Rosenberg added. "You have no idea how many patients want to talk about you and your brothers. I get serious points for knowing the Coopers."
"Okay Dr. Rosenberg," Rebecca said, bright red with embarrassment, trying to change the subject. "Sorry to end this wonderful little conversation, but is there a problem or something?"
"Well, actually I was hoping to catch you and your mother together, but we also need to talk to the Jonas family."
"Um okay. Well, my mom just went home to get some stuff. She might be back now. And the rest of the Jonases are in the waiting room, right?" She looked to me.
"Well, I don't know if my dad and Frankie are here yet. They were gonna be coming later."
"Okay, well, I'll just go see who's out there and be right back, all right?"
"Thank you," Rebecca and I said together before she walked out.
"What do you think that was all about?" I asked walking back to the side of the bed.
"Well, if she wants to talk to you guys too, it's probably about the transplant." She bit at her nail. That meant she was nervous.
"I have a feeling it's good news," I said, grabbing her hand out of her mouth and wrapping it in mine.
"What if none of you are matches?" she asked fearfully as she lay back down on the bed and curled into a ball. I didn't let go of her hand though.
"Baby, I told you, we're gonna make it through this. If none of us are matches, we'll find you another donor. I won't stop until we find a match."
"Okay," she mumbled and buried her head into the pillow.
I slowly rubbed the hand not holding hers in circles on her back. Suddenly I felt tears coming, but I suppressed them for her sake.

dang, im really hoping its nick...bc that would be ttly sweet. but i dont think its nck, bc if it was him then couldnt she have just told him right there??? but maybe its bc he's only 16 and they need the parents in there...gah so confusing, but GOOD STORY!!! haha i cant wait for the next chapter
