I think these would be ideal here in Florida where the winter is very mild.....I want more info.

The R value in this house must be fairly low. Cob, even Straw bail housing is far more tolerant of the winter cold and summer heat. Both can deliver R value's greater than local building code demands.

I'd love to see some other videos showing construction of another model, perhaps your Knotty Pine - Model #2, 12/12 roof, w/loft. I'd like to see how it all goes together, maybe on a poured or block foundation. Like the way this looks, has potential.

Looks nice.. But no insulation and douubt the roof would hold up to a heavy snow Canadian winter
-
no caulking?

Where are the logs?

This video is of a 3 season cabin. Our 4 season Knotty Pine Cottage is insulated to meet any local energy codes.

Because our kits are a do-it-yourself project we depend on our customers to provide us with photos of the finished project. As of yet we have never received a video of a Knotty Pine being constructed.

This is just a sample of one of our small cabins being built.
We have other models that are fully insulated and can be built
with 2x8 to rafters that would be able to hold up to heavy snow loads.

Depending on the model it will be quarter log or half log siding.
Caulking will need to be placed between each wall panel seam.
