This video explains in detail the rotor magnet layout that I am using for the first test of the prototype enhancements, and also shows the first test demo. Thanks for watching, and for your continued interest in the Pipe Dream Project.

  • @w3h3h3h111 No angle in this video. As you can see in the opening frames, the stator is directly aligned with the rotor magnets. I will be doing some angled stator and free stator tests, among other things, during the elapsed time testing phase, which begins at video #36.

  • @TheRickoff sorry if you may have talked about this before so is your stator at an angle or is it at 90 % with the rotor magnets i would like to also say thank you for what

    you are doing cant wait for #33 ..

  • @w3h3h3h111 That's a good question that others may also be wondering about. The rotor turns better in a counterclockwise direction than clockwise, because of the curve of the stator magnet. It would turn just as well clockwise, of course, if I reoriented the stator magnet 180 degrees from its current alignment.

  • @TheRickoff While waiting for a new order of magnets to come in, I want to experiment with different layouts on the 3 plates that I now have set up, to see if I can smooth out the rotation somewhat while lowering the elapsed time from one end of the plates to the other. I found an excellent solution for testing various layouts with a high degree of accuracy, which I will be showing in the next video.

  • @syndrome95 Glad you like it. Actually, the layout seen in this video was the first one I tried after applying the flywheel and metal plates setup. I'm working on another video today with a new layout that I think you will find even more interesting, but I am not quite ready to start adding more plates and magnets.

  • This is great. It's looking really promising. I look forward to seeing what happens when you ad all the remaining segments and magnets. I like your solution to the changing poles problem without having to add any mechanism which would only cause friction or drag. Simple really but I missed it when I saw the origional problem you encoun.tered. The odd layout of your magnets is interesting. You must have done endless experiments to come up with that.
