Steve Ehlmann was elected St. Charles County Executive in November 2006. Prior to that he served as the county's Director of Administration. Mr. Ehlmann's public service is unique in that he has been elected to serve in three branches of government. He served as a legislator in the Missouri House (19th district) from 1989 to 1993 and the Missouri Senate (23rd district) from 1993 to 2001. He served as an Associate Circuit Judge (11th Judicial Circuit) from 2001 to 2003. He has served as a County Executive since 2007. Mr. Ehlmann is an historian and currently serves on the board of trustees for both the Missouri Historical Society and The State Historical Society of Missouri.
