  • @sensibisle1 drying is the way to go. The drying process allows ibotenic acid to convert to muscimole, reducing nausea and neurotoxicity and enhancing the psychoactive experience

  • short but informative!

  • what a trip

  • @usedive i eat these and i found my self on the ground laugh thing my arse off but as i laid it seem that the sheep in the feild next to me was flying mabey it was the same thing with the rain deer

  • HAAAEEEEIIIIITTTOOOOOOORRRRYYYYTAAAAAHHHHHKKKKKCCHHHIIIIIIIIIIII

  • Also the idea of santa and reindeer flying is based on the euphoric feeling people get from eating the fungus. Also the siberians drank each others urine after consuming the fungus as the active chemical Muscimol is excreted through the urine. This is also where the term "Getting Pissed" originated from as this tradition is far older than drinking alcohol. Reindeer urine was also consumed after they'd eaten the fungus. Charming! Glad we have a bottle-o these days...

  • It's also what the tradition of having a christmas tree was based on. Stupid christians and catholics got no idea. They also grow under pine trees, hence why you have a pine tree at christmas (when the siberians used to collect the fungus in red and white outfits with black boots) that is where the concept of Santa came from. The tinsel on the tree symbolizes the morning dew needed to grow the fungus, the presents represent the fungus as the siberians traditionally gave Amanita Muscaria as gifts

  • @freddiedread ..and perhaps you could tell us specifically what you're talking about? That the vikings used it as a drug is considered an urban legend, but other people seem to have consumed it in that way. With that said, it doesn't seem to be relevant when explaining why it's name contains the word for fly in many languages, nor does it make the movie propaganda. Seriously.

  • @freakoutguitarsolo1 They grow with fir and spruce/pine in western north america, usually at the edge of a clearing, if that helps.
