Improvising a little over a straightforward I-IV-V progression. Harmonica is a customised Hohner Special 20 in the key of C played in 2nd position key of G.

  • im learning to play harmonica right now and little videos like these help a lot. i have a question though, how do you play the Bb when you move on to around the 5th bar (around :20)? i guess im just bad at bending =(

  • @Mokumo The Bb around the 20 second mark is the 3 hole draw bent down a half step. It's a pretty important note for blues in 2nd position so keep practicing. Try using a chromatic tuner - it helps to be able to see when you're hitting the right note. Good luck!

  • Dude you've made a mistake on the labeling of this video. You said its in G but your playing a C harmonica. Not good for the people trying to learn. You might wanna re-label this video "12 Bar in C"

  • @dieseldevine80 The label is correct. The harmonica is a key of C but I'm playing in the key of G. It's possible to play in many different keys on one harmonica. Key of G is second position on a C harmonica which is also known as cross harp and the most common position for most blues playing.

  • is this G harp?

  • @weepingmoon1 No - it's a C harp played in 2nd position key of G.
