  • would you please tell me how to sort this data? Excel turns out: 832 Washington A 832 Washington 1 832 Washington 10 832 Washington 11 832 Washington 2 832 Washington 22 but I want: 832 Washington A 832 Washington 1 832 Washington 2 832 Washington 10 832 Washington 11 832 Washington 22 Thank you!
  • Most programs use ASCII characters. There are 255 ASCII characters. Sort is based on these. I will send you an e-mail with more detail.

  • Hey if the data in the column you have highlighted changes when you click sort, but the other columns do not change, does that mean that the data in other columns is incompatible with the original data selected, or does it only mean that sorting will only change data in the columns that are highlighted?

  • I do not understand what you are asking.

But, if the data set has field names (column headers with different formatting) at the top, and records in rows and no fully blanks columns or rows, then click just one cell in the column that you want to sort and then click the sort button.

    Did that help/

  • Is there a way to sort pivot tables by date. For example I want the pivot table to automatically sort / display from July 2010 to June of 2011. I'd like to learn the trick to not manipulate the cells once the PT is complete, but for all pivot tables

  • thank you so much! since I couldn't find a better way to do it, I just simply changed the single digit number to double digits such as 832 Washington 01, 10, 11, 02, 22, that way it turned out to be 832 Washington 01, 02, 10, 11, 22 instead of 1, 10, 11, 2, 22..
