@deereman4700 ...field cultivators are tillage but they are for secondary tillage (incorporating herbicides and finishing a seedbed) not for primary tillage like a big disc, bottom plow or chisel plow.

@farmingisawesome ye im not saying case is a bad company , like i have both a john deere and and a IH and there both great machines but john deere will always be the best! in my oppinon

It's a damn chisel plow, it's not a spring tooth harrow and it's not a field cultivator. Those are made for finishing work and seedbed prep. The chisel plow is made for primary tillage. It runs deeper and shatters hardpan.
He got it right. He IS technically plowing!
Cultivating is when you cultivate, between rows......with a CULTIVATOR!
