Oh, please, it's taking a embryonic cell, and Bush, i have three words for you, at a loud volume, and angry tone. ROE VERSUS WADE you try to overturn that, the feminists turn on you, it's not even a viable fetus yet you anti-abortion moron. I'm not pro-abortion, I'm pro-choice, let a women get an abortion if she wants you pious freak.

the ultra christianism of the bush administration was wrong in my opinion. They can use stem cells from umbilical cords like was noted in other comments.
It can help improve the lives of those afflicted with disease
we can take care of murderers and rapists we can take care of those who are ill and don't deserve what the hand they were given in life.....

Well those "babies" where going in the trash can or toilet. Ether they be used like this or flushed down the toilet to never get the chance to even be considered significant.
Just recently it has been discovered that MS can be cured using steam cells. People with MS injected with steam cells had seen a 80% increase in motor function within 3 weeks of injection. People who couldn't walk or speak could after merely 3 weeks.
The cure for cancer is in steam cells as well.

what about the world being over populated. And how each person on earth has a "carbon footprint" which further leads to the destruction of the planet.
No planet = no babies at all for humans and all creatures.

that'd be funny if vice pres cheney picked up that court hammer and slam it towards the end of bush's speech and go "I disagree!!!"

But..."As of January 1st 2008, the IBC total for violent civilian deaths to the end of 2007 is 81,174--88,585 (including our preliminary figure of 902 for December 2007)."
How many of those were kids?

Ah, thanks, I didn't make a distinction before, but now that I've done a little research I have to ask, all this anger over blastocyst stage embryos?! wow
-
no, im not for murder of babies

Before it wasn't the umbilical stem cells that they were worried about. It was the stem cells from the fetus. The umbilical cord stem cell is different than the one of the fetus. research britannica or lexis nexis for it i'm sure u'll find it
The USA is so behind because of Bush's policy's.

Didn't you get the memo? Love the fetus, hate the child. Lack of education, health care, living wage jobs means more soldiers. Who cares about the kids once they are born?
Paraphrasing Eisenhower, Beware the Military Industrial Complex.
