Most people put the camera on the dash or the hood. It worked pretty good inside the car like that. You definately picked the best hours to shoot the time lapse as well. Great time lapse.
By the way, like the song, what is it?

Thanks! It was quite a last-minute idea to make the time-lapse before I set off, but I was pleased with the results for a first attempt. Might try it again, perhaps dash-mounted as you suggest, with shorter frame intervals (I used 5sec here).
