Ok, so this is the horse I've been working with in the past few weeks. Or rather, I'm the girl that Rankn's been working with for the past few weeks, lol.

He's a really fun, really fast, really powerful horse to ride and I absolute love riding him. He's just great at what he does.

Anyways, this is the same horse that I will be taking with me along with Mo to districts this year in Dorey, and I'm so excited! ^_^

I wish my dad had gotten to the lesson early enough to capture our barrel and pole run, because they were really sweet! but unfortunately we didn't get any video of that... so that'll be a "coming soon" on the barrels and poles vid. This here, is just the keyhole and texas.

  • hey...this is going to be my first year competiong in keyhole...what would be a good time for 4h devition...the first time we clocked her at 13.1...but this was our first time being alowed to go that fast since her colic surgery...so we have some musel to get back to get the stop-spin-go down after the poles...lol...to make it better our normal event is dressage...which for a paint she's really good at...well let me know if you know whats a good time...thanks

  • well, I think times vary since there's no set number of feet that has to be between the starting line and the hole. So, around here a good time is right around a low 8 second time. But that's a good, perfect run. Average around here is about a 9-10 second run.

  • In key hole how big is the box you stop and turn him around in?

I have a rather high strung barrel horse and have been wanting to try some different events with him to get his mind on somthing other than barrel racing.

  • we work our horses in a 20-21 ft. diameter circle. =)

  • alright, thank you=]

  • no problem, good luck with your horse =D

  • omg it looks so beautiful there <3

  • nope, the horse yesterday was Crystal's mare Pepsi. :)

  • is this the one that went to the show yeaterday?

  • yep, atleast in our district. I don't know about other places... but I know they allow kids to qualify two at District competition, but everyone's only allowed one at states. So they just give everyone the chance to have a back-up. :) Some kids actually qualify one pleasure horse and one speed horse and then come states they decide if they want to do pleasure or speed.
