True, natural immunity does indeed offer us more protection against yearly viruses such as flu. But one cannot acquire a natural immunity without first being exposed to the viral type, and that is why babies and young children are given vaccines - because catching mumps and measles as an infant can (and has) proved to be fatal. Better to take a vaccine and avoid contracting it in the first place than to find out too late that your not gonna be able to fight it, right?

But flu shots don't work.

I do know that some vaccines are not totally safe, but those aren't the ones that are adminstered to children by the NHS. Most of the reviewers who are against vaccines have generalised, and that's just not true. I don't actually believe that taking flu shots is a wise move, coz some people then catch flu off the shots. But on the whole, NHS compulsery vaccines work.

And sorry if I seemed a little blunt to the other guy, he swore at me twice in one sentence for no apparant reason. Not nice.

More credit is due to the human ability to gain natural immunity. More people survive from NATURAL IMMUNITY then from injections of toxic waste.

And? Most types of fish contain mercury, too. Eat too much tuna/swordfish and you can actually get mercury poisoning.

You are clearly scientifically illiterate, and have listened to the uneducated arguments of a particular group/sect that have been feeding you a load of rubbish. I've been immunised against tons of stuff, as have the entire if the UK, and knowbody has EVER died as a direct result of the shots.

And as for swine flu, it's real. Simple biology, dude. Viruses mutate. It's called habitual variation.

Ummm...problem there. Without the vaccines as a BABY, there's a high risk that the child might not even SURVIVE 'til ADULTHOOD. They prevent mumps, measles, rubella, scarlet fever....the list goes on!

Vaccines save lives, dear, so it's important that everybody has them.

And besides, the parents give their consent for the vaccines. It's not like they kidnap the kids in order to administer the shots.

And....what the heck does circumcision have to do with vaccines? They're totally different!
