  • Yes, it's only when the throttle is first tapped. It appears that the manifold gets sucked in slightly at idle, when the engine is producing vacuum, and then pops back to it's normal shape under light throttle. Ford Racing says that it's "normal" and that there could be 1 millimeter of deflection at the injector base/boss. I see not a whole lot of movement there, but I still don't like it. Just posted these videos as insurance in case something does happen.

  • I've got the same intake.. it only flexes because it doesn't have the charge plates underneath to reduce the airflow through the intake.. It doesn't hurt anything and as you can see it only flexes with quick taps to the throttle... which isn't a normal driving condition, I pull runs down at the strip and have yet to have any problems.

  • Do you regret buying the intake?

  • i definetly see movement, but it doesnt seem to bad in that area, just for some reassuarance peopple have had these things on the dyno and at Wot or half throtle they ar not flexing as of yet its more of a idle quick tap the throttle problem
