  • Um no Guyana is messed up because of the president who said that the country should be divided by race!!! The idiot who said let coolie vote for coolie and black for for black, not based on who would lead better. thats who fucked up Guyana, and that was Cheddi Jagan.

  • Thank you for posting this. It's so great to hear these songs sung by all peoples of Guyana. Both President Burhnam and Jagan are gone. Let us work to live with each other and to develop new and meaningful methods to aide the country that we all love so mich.

  • My parents are both Guyanese, but I was born in England and have been trying to reconnect with Guyanese culture, especially through music. Thank you so much for posting these! :)

  • thank you so much for posting these <3

  • ha, right away i started laughing cause i finally realized why my mum always wakes me up with "mornin' neighbour, mornin'!!"

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • @derrider sometimes its shameful to say im guyanese, because of the corruptness, and bad system of government.

  • Thank you for posting. Our family left Guyana in 1967. I appreciate very much you taking the time upload these videos. Peace always begins inside of us. In essence once we are at peace with ourselves we project peace and love. Peace to you.

  • The living still fighting over the dead even 26 yrs since Burnham and 14 yrs after Jagan. If Burnham or Jagan hurt u or anyone u know, it only make sense to forgive them at this point bcaaz dem ded. If you dont forgive you are robbing yourself the oppertunity of shaping your present and future. The past belong to the ded. live now. The only problem Guyana have is the hatred the living hold in their minds because of the dead. Leave the past and shape the present and the future. Rasta Seh Dat.

  • Nice hearing these songs after a long time....I doubt children of nowadays are exposed to this genre of music.

I would like to hear 'Dis time nah lang time'. If you have, please share. Thanks!
