I realise not everyone will agree with my selection - everybody is entitled to have their own opinion - and this is mine. So feel free to leave any comment you wish. I believe that each song listed reached # 4 or better in at least one country, with most reaching # 1. I must admit, there is a slight Australian influence in this list :)

Besides #10, 9, 8, 4, and 3, these have good songs. Someone remembers Easy Lover! EWTRTW is a great song and deserves to be a HUGE mention to be the best song of the 80s. Makes me cry every time I hear it. And yes, Africa by Toto deserves a mention as well. I believe it's the second most beautiful song of the 80s behind EWTRTW.
