Question for Redbird:

I recently bought a fiddle off Ebay that was made by Grover Sutton. I am naturally curious to find out more about him (plenty of info on his famous son & grandson!)

Is that Grover in the early shot, outdoors?

That is indeed Grover Sutton. Both his son and grandson were also regulars at the Hyatt's Music House.

There is an article on the wall about Grover Sutton and his playing.

My grandfather Wayne instructed Grover on the art of making fiddles. Grover continued making his fiddles in Wayne's shop after Wayne's death.

Mrs hyatts music house is on 191hwy in asheville NC every thurs open jam.exit 1-40 at the farmers market the house is on the right going toward biltmore sq mall. hope to see you there.

I went to Mrs. Hyatts house about 32 years ago with Raymond Hutchings and his band THE BLUE RANGERS RANGER realy enjoyed it. I went back in2008 and performed this time it is still a great loving and wonderful place
