  • Question, this can be seen at the bottom or surface, no need for telescopes or anything just the naked eye right? And how long would it last if I just to sit down and watch the whole thing?

  • @AceHalford:

No need for telescopes, most images and videos on my site are taken with wideangle lenses.

With naked eye you will see the colors less vivid.

  • @pabloracevesr No, this is not the normal speed of Aurora Borealis. It usually moves very gentle and slowly. Beautiful.

  • @miz3451 The aurora is blue if the atom regains an electron after it has been ionized. Red if returning to ground state from an excited state.

Oxygen emissions colours are green or brownish-red, depending on the amount of energy absorbed.

Nitrogen emissions colours are blue or red.

  • @PsyloActiv but why there is different colours?

  • Is this the normal speed for this phenomenom? I mean, is the video speed accelerated or this is just like the naked eye see the aurora? Thanks a lot for posting this.

  • If you close your eyes at night you can see this in your eyelids. I'm not impressed by it anymore.

  • @bedwettingliberal Your comment made my day :)

  • these stuff are so beautiful i just wanna cry when i see them ;')

  • @AceHalford I most definitely recommend it. There are different degrees of A/B (even in the same night). Find out where and when they reliably occur. If you're not accustomed to cold weather, get the warmest mittens, hat and other clothing because even a cool night gets cold when outside for a while. Travel somewhere where it is fun by day and be ready to check for yourself at intervals at night. They can be taken for grated by locals.

Away from man-made lights and unobstructed sky is best.
