The NEW Patent Pending Skid replacement for your 2-Stage Snow blower that incorporates a wheel to make it make it effortless to guide, won't tear up your driveway and doesn't wear down as you use it! It may be the last set of Skids you ever buy.
Tried these on my new Ariens Sno-Tec 24. The MAX clearance they provide is less than 1/8". Close to 1/16". They don't have a high enough profile to allow for adequate vertical adjustment, so IMO they aren't replacements for the stock skids. We have brick pavers which not flat like concrete. We need 1/8"+ of clearance. Hope we get our $ back. Once I mounted & tested they are "used". We bough the Ariens non-abrasives instead. Watch for my review to post soon.
The roller skids work great on my compact Ariens snow blower. They allow a great degree of maneuverability in close quarters. They allowed enough adjustment to get my scrapper bar to right height to clear the uneven surfaces and still close enough for good removal. They are well made of quality materials.
I did the same thing to my Ariens last year. I used short wide casters and clamped them on so that they were about 1/2" or less below the bottom of the skids.
