Parents Approved Of Obama Song Lyrics: Courier Post Editor

Everett J. Mitchell, executive editor of the Cherry Hill Courier Post, gives Greta Van Susteren more information regarding the "skit" in which schoolchildren sang the praises of President "Barack Hussein Obama" at B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ.

A teacher did write the song, but as "part of school procedure," the lyrics were sent to parents' homes for approval. "No parents objected to it, priot to, during or after the assembly."

He also reported that the teacher who wrote the lyrics to the song has since retired, and is no longer with the school.

It is disturbing when they are teaching young children to in a sense "worship" the president. The president of our country works for us,,,not the other way around.

When people start teaching our children to worship the president as our all mighty leader, we have a problem.

It is reminiscent of Hitlers socialist partys indoctrination of the young german children.

Anyway you put it is is not a good idea to teach children to idealise our president.

Songs about presidents in the past is much different than one who is alive and in power. They are making these kids praise him. It is not right that is why they are making a big deal about it!!!! You would be pissing your pants if they were singing about a republican president!!

@EpicGodMan Red, and yellow, black, and white....that is from a Christian hymn about Jesus. The song compares Obama to Jesus. And then '"equal work means equal pay" is a political issue somewhat. There were other ways to study black history month.

Schoolkids singing about a man who overcame obstacles to become the first black President of the United States. During Black History Month. Oddly, I don't feel too outraged over this.

It's really sad to see kids being brain washed to worship a president. Makes you wonder when Hitler is gonna pop out of the closet and say "Surprise, I'm Back!" I agree with godesseq2 below... This needs to stop now!

who cares if they are republican or democrat, the united states of America is a corrupt body and is going to hell, who cares where they came from and what party they are for....were screwed, we as a nation will continue to run this country to the ground like we have been for years....and it doesnt matter whether they are current or not, its just a song, and when hes not president anymore it will still be just that....A SONG!!!!!
