Because theirs fell off the truck during transport and they decided to scrap the project because they were tight on cash. Fendt designed theirs in the 70s too. Hans Marshall was the lead designer. Fendts is in production, Olivers is in a historical society. Thus why Fendt gets the credit. I do not know how olivers operated if it ran like Fendts or not.

  • this salesman is FULL of horsepucky too ; this transmission IS MOST CERTAINLY hydrostatic in most of its operation and CANNOT FUNCTION apart from the hydro component . that IS THE CONTROL to the entire transmission . the hydro changes the RATIO of the MAIN planetary gearset . "absolutely not a hysrostat" my left ....

  • Oliver was the first company to do research on the cvt transmission way back in the 70s, why dont they get more credit?
