@revokdaryl1 Actually the person he wants to kill is a feminist who is defending a woman who killed her husband. Colt (Ironside's character) had an experience where his father was burned badly by his mother and she got off so he developed a hatred for women.

He's actually a real sweetheart and gentleman in real life, he just found a place as a character actor where his voice and mannerisms can be used for menacing. But I've seen him play parts where he was a good guy and a romantic lead, pity those films were all released up in Canada, makes it tougher for those of us here in the States to find those films and enjoy his true range as an actor, as well as having something for us ladies who've loved him as Ham Tyler since 'V'.

He hurt himself so he could gain access to the hospital. The reason he wants to gain access to the hospital is that he wants to kill woman that works there, and since he's killed there before he fears being caught. By hurting himself he stays under the radar as he's brought into the hospital as an injured man himself.
