US is doing today, what made Sweden poor 20-40 years ago. Sweden went from a liberal and healthy economy to interventionism (through ONE generation) where the state controlled the market.
It has gone 40 years and we are still in heavy debt, and we are so far from what we where then.

I'd say the best angle would be not to entirely eliminate the 300 scene, but cut it quickly immediately after Xerxes says "I am kind," then go with a "hold it, wait, that wasn't Obama, that was that scary Xerxes guy from 300..."

That would maintain the message but make the video seem a little less silly. And yeah, the Lara Croft comment was ill-placed.
