I always saw this as being a prequel to the video Black Hole Sun. In this Chris is being forcefully taught how to view/live his life. At the end of it he escapes and realizes how ugly/corrupt people can be and in the Black Hole Sun video he begins to see how a lot of people really are; twisted and sometimes even horrifying. Then he wishes something would just end all the evil/corruption; the Black Hole Sun...Or maybe i just think too much haha

I've loved this song since it came out but just saw the music video and can I say? WOW - this is a great music video. It brought to mind the different stages that our outlook and self-image goes through, both positive and negative - both self-influenced and manipulated by our surroundings. It 'aint easy, Chis, but you've created some awesome music and music videos. I appreciate you!
