Unlike CoD, Counter Strike, Resistance, or most other popular shooters, the bullets in Battlefield 3 are actually projectiles. Each bullet has its own weight, velocity, drop time, arc, and a damage attributes. Other games typically use hitscans which work about like the old Duck Hunt games. Just whatever your gun is pointed at gets hit with no regard to range or environmental factors. BF3 uses 100% projectile rounds. They behave much more like real bullets. Snipers and assault players will need to pay attention here.

@TECRH cross-map shots are now that much harder. none of this 360,y,y,knife,ladder-stall,equ­ipment-switch, BOOM HEADSHOT shooting. that's only one reason though.

@simplyskilled its a little complex to actually tell you what line specifically to use. and more often than not you wont be close enough(or shouldnt be) to use the main cross hair to snipe. You have to determine how far your target is and then after practicing you should be able to learn how much higher to aim to get a hit. Use the lines on the scope to measure how tall the target is and that should tell you the distance. and then you should try to aim that much higher.

Can someone fricken tell what line or whatever to line up the guy in my scope at each range. And how to tell where to line him up in my scope, cuz im sooo confused!
