i home school on a tight budget. But I see it this way. I am saving tons of money otherwise spent on school uniforms, "must haves" designer stuff all the other kids have, transport, etc.!

You can homeschool on a shoestring if need be. Although I must say, one has to do what is best for them and their family. If you are broke because of HS, then you may want to check out some other HS options. It is a sacrifice no matter how you do it. It is freedom of speech and we must respect that...

To Str8jackt, if you want to try to fix public school great. You're not going to to it at my child's expense! We home school, and we are broke. We make the sacrifices necessary to provide home education. Ahermitt is correct, you sound like a total Commie.

Thank you very much for stepping up to set the records straight on what homeschooling is really about. There are a lot of unknowledgable people here on Youtube that are spreading misinformation about homeschooling based on uninformed opinions.

when i was a kid, my parents had money, and sent me to public school. now, my wife and i have like, barely enough to get by, and we homeschool. and my kids are smarter for it. it's called sacrifice.

I apologize that I did not explain myself well. My point about homeschooling is made, only to make the point that, it is NOT the answer, for the simple fact, that public schools need very much help. I live in PA,and get no support from schools, THAT is what needs changed. Take care, and I respect your opinion, respect my pleas to change what should be. ty

Freedom of speech is great... But when you start telling other people what they should or should not do with their own kids, and starts talking about homeschooling stereotypes, then I have the freedom to call that crazy.
