Yeah, European Robins and American Robins are two different/distinct species. American Robins are, in actual fact, a species of Thrush (hence the size difference).

@StoneygateSquirrel damn, thats so sad, i had 2 ducks, but on monday one of my ducks died, he suffocated because his head was stuck between the fence, i thought he still was alive, but he was dead i really miss him now =(

This is so sweet. I love seeing proof that wild animals and people can live in peace :)
So sad to know of his death :( No one ever thinks of birds fighting with one another, but it happens.
I actually saved a bird years ago (It was either a wren or one fo the wild finches, I cannot remember) after a larger bird attacked him for what I'm guessing food.

I have one visiting my bird feeder quite regularly. They are the most adorable of little birds. This does mean war on the local cat population. I have shot the same cat twice with a slingshot with rubber balls. Next time I catch him I will use ball bearings. :-)

That's terrible, I never saw birds fight til they pecked into the head?

what do u mean "head pecked in"?

that robin is small is it in england here in america we have big ones.

We had a robin just like that. He would fly into our kitchen and hop around like he owned the place! He got that close to me too, I finished eating a pizza and turned to the read the paper and he landed right on my plate and ate the scraps!I tried to tape him a few times but it was nothing as good as yours. He stopped coming in a few months ago, so he probably died too fighting another robin or something. Thanks for this.
This bird was so neat. I really enjoyed the footage...back and forth he went. I think that interaction with wild animals in nature is fascinating. If you don't mind me asking, do you know how he died?

He was killed by another Robin, for his territory. It's sad, but that's nature for you.

Yes, but there has never been one as tame as Matey. He used to come into the kitchen to feed off the counter if we left the door open!
