Behind Scars - A Cailey Heartbreak - Chapter 4 [re-upload..]
---------------------------------------------------------------
She typed in the last set of numbers she could think of.. 5 4 3 2 1.. The light flashed red. And the system spoke again "System shut down" "What?! No!!" She quickly covered her mouth with her hand. Good thing their heavy sleepers..

Bailey remembered something.. The officer said there was another exit, didn't he? He said he was afraid that she escaped the other way... Maybe I could go and try to get through that door? For all I know it could be on the other side of this building.. and this building was certainly bigger on the outside than it looked on the inside. Plus it could even be a different code to every door. "I'll just stay here"

She looked up noticing there was no barb-wire on top of the door.. It was worth a try to climb it.. She could barley reach the top of the gate, but she happened to get a good grip of the top and pulled herself up. She knew she had terrible upper-body strength.. So it was touchier to try and pull herself up, but she tried.. She even used the control box to help her get up a little higher. She reached the top and noticed.. She was less than a foot away from being.. Free.

She jumped off and onto the cold ground... landing on her foot. She didn't even stop for that. She got up and walked off the pain. She had never been out on the streets at night like this.. It was kind of freaking her out. She felt relived, yet curious, when she saw a community bus at the bus stop. I didn't even know busses ran this late..

She knocked on the glass, and the driver opened up the door.
"I know this isn't a taxi.. But do you think you could take me out of the buss route?" Bailey pleaded.
"Depends missy.. How much did you put in the box?" He replied.
Bailey looked down "Oh.. I don't have any money on me.."
"Well.. Im afraid I cant let you ride for free.."
"I've been through a lot tonight.. And I really need to get home. I promise I'll pay you back, at any cost."
He thought for a minute "At any cost?"
She nodded. "I never break a promise.." She leaned on the foot she fell on earlier. "Aww!" She looked down. "Even if I did break my foot.."
He looked concerned. "Well, I suppose you could ride. It would be terrible for you to have to walk home with a broken foot.." He started the engine.
Bailey smiled the first time in a while. "Thank you so much.." She took a seat behind him.
"So where to?"
"Oak Park." Bailey replied.

After a few minutes of silence the driver spoke up. "Are you running away from home or something?"
I wouldn't exactly call that home.. The thought to herself. "Hum.. No"
"I can think of any other reason you would be up this late.."
"That's exactly what I thought when I saw this bus... Actually, I'm visiting some friends, and my car broke down a few miles back."
"What happened to your foot then?"
"I'm just clumsy.. I tripped over a rock.." She replied.
"Ahh.. So where should I drop you off?"
Bailey hadn't thought of that... where was she going to stay? "Hum- right here is fine."
"Ok, well good luck getting your car back."
Bailey smiled again. "Thank you." She stepped off the bus.. "And I wont forget about the money.."
He closed the doors and drove away.

Bailey stood in her street. The only reason she called it her's, was because her house wasn't that far away. In fact she could see it where she was standing. She limped down the street, and came to her front yard. Why was there a for sale sigh in her yard? I doubt anyone wants to buy a house where there was a murder...
But I think I could handle it.. She got the key from the flower pot, amazed that it was still there.. And unlocked the door..
The house was actually not as dusty as she pictured, since no one had lived there in a full year. Bailey, amazed again, that the toilet still flushed. Mostly all she wanted was some sleep. And tomorrow... she would look for a disguise....
---------------------------------------------
Well, of course she cant walk around being : Bailey Picket - Wanted for murder. (even if she was innocent) She had to be someone else.. Any name ideas? :]
