Yasmin for Ministry of Sound TV (Yasmin Video Interview)

With her debut single 'On My Own' out now, we thought it high time we sat down for a proper chat with the freshest signing to the Ministry of Sound Recordings roster, Yasmin.

After leaving a trailblazing mark on the hip-hop scene with her DJing skills, Yasmin is now taking on the world as a singer-songwriter. Having already toured with N*E*R*D and Example, featured on Devlin's hit single 'Runaway', DJed with Dizzee Rascal and accrued huge support from Radio 1 and 1Xtra as well as the likes of Mistajam, Tinie Tempah, Example and Chase & Status, Yasmin is a name that you'll be seeing and hearing a lot of in 2011!

@daisydee123 I didn't say a word in regards to who writes their own songs, I merely stated that her style is exactly like Natalia kills now, which is also her friend and was in the scene before Yasmin. I have been out and seen Yasmin DJ at a few venues in London before her singing career, and her style has changed a lot, very much like Nat hence my comment. My comment wasn't aimed at the interview, just her fashion style/hair. I Like her regardless.

I just love yasmin, shes so genuine, seems very down to eart and i could definitely listen to her music all day. Shes absoulutely beautiful and i hope she gets where she wants to be. seems like shes worked hard to get here. I wish you all the best yasmin! xoxo :)

@RxExAxL i think you'll find yas has her own style. she came up into the industry from being around 19 when she started off as a dj and she's grown from there. she writes her own songs and i'm sure she styles herself. natalia kills certainly does not write her own stuff, and besides when she frst came onto the scene she was the rapper 'verbalicious' and had a very tom boy style, so it's clearly her that has a fake ass style because she changed herself to try and gain fame again. just my opinion
