11 week old Brittany Spaniel pointing a grouse wing

Here's Geno at 77 days old pointing a grouse wing. We've been doing the "Rod and Wing" training 5-15 times a week since day 52. He's starting to use his nose along with his eyes now (not in the video, but later in the day after we play with the rod and wing he'll hunt up the backyard exactly where we were playing).

Thanks for all the comments. These videos are simply to demonstrate his instinct as a few people pointed out. I follow Richard Wolter's "Gun Dog" training book and video as closely as I can with the time I have. Geno is now 13 months old and did very well on his first wild bird hunt this weekend! He held point through the flush on his first few birds, but then got excited and "birdy" and didn't hold point so well for the rest of the day. Now we just need to get more reps on training birds!

My britt is 2.5 years old. Is it too late to start training her to hunt? I took her to trainer once and showed some natural abilities.

sweet I have had my brittany for a month now he is 6 months old I am getting him a wing to train him he pointsbugs all the time if he dosnt chase them love our brittanys
