These movies are just so great the lessons they held (especially Beauty and the Beast, hey now shout out to my fav) we're great, and they make me sing everything I do now!!!

@rena921 I know that's next time I see my niece (probably in 2013, March) I am SO having a disney princess marathon with her!!!
-
I wish I can be just like Ariel I mean i'v got the hair.

@dragonflameofdark Yeah, I'd probably would be tempted too, we all sometimes act like her, doing, not really thinking and she's a kid, how can people blame her when she's acting like the kid she is? acting first and thinking later. I can't hate her for that, I don't hate her at all. Ariel makes all sorts of mistakes but you feel for her, she's a kid trying to find her place in the world (which reminds me homosexual people who just feel differently and that's OK).
And glad you like Charmed ;)

@dragonflameofdark Yeah, I'm with you. I'm wondering the same thing about the adults, cause they're supposed to be more aware of this stuff. I wonder how many of them hate/dislike her while not getting her reasoning. Guys, she wanted to be human for a while. As said above me there's the sunken ship and the cave and even after turning human it was more then Eric that she enjoyed, she loved her new environment and wanted to try all sorts of human things...

Lol, I don't know if a lot of people actually watch it as an adult.. I don't know how it isn't obvious that she wanted to be human throughout the whole movie.. The first time they show her she's in a sunken ship stealing stuff that humans left when they drowned! I can't blame her, I know I'd be tempted to make a supposedly bad deal to get what I want if the chance arose. I'd like to think I wouldn't.. but dunno.
Also, Charmed, I like it. ^-^

@dragonflameofdark thanks for this! a lot of people don't get that about Ariel. First time she sang she was singing and longing for what humans have. "...out of the sea wish I could be part of that world" than after seeing Eric it ended with "watch and you'll see, someday I'll be part of YOUR world" and while she went about it in a wrong way, can anybody blame her for wanting something else? for feeling differently? mermaid in body, human in heart she is.

@missolaniousful I agree with you, there are some very promising shows out there now (especially adventure time, <333). But there just seems to be so much more bad things than good. :c
and Miazaki's stuff was 80's and 90's too. XD Well. most of it. Spirited away was in '01, but Kiki and princess Mononoke were earlier. :3
-
@rena921 not really... they have these movies and more! like Miyazak films of strong willed girls, love stories like UP, and cartoons like adventure time that has fin, a non-man whore. who is a great "guy friend".
the 90's kids are today's and tomorrow's animators so cut us some slack pleas, we have big kings to look up to and be better than.
-
That's not the only reason she did it. She wanted to be a human all along, but then she met a guy and it just added to the list of reasons why she wanted to be human. She sings Part of Your World before she ever sees Eric, saying that she wants to be where the people are! To have legs and not fins. I do agree it was not a good way to go about getting what she wanted, but he wasn't the only reason she did it.
Girls today are missing out on all the things the Disney princess taught the girls of the 90s. Then it was all about following your heart, dreaming, and, okay, finding your own prince charming....but man, today? It's all about body image and being pretty. :(

@kawaiiluna99 It might be because her voice actress, Adriana Caselotti, passed away a few years back, and they might not have been able to find a voice actress with a similar sounding voice. I'm not entirely sure, though - it seems like they could have found someone who sounded *somewhat* similar, like they did for Cinderella and Aurora.
