@H2ohanzo yea thanks i had it 6 years ago when i was 18 years old wich is worse i went into a coma and basicaly died 3 times i had a brain hemmorage phneumonia mrsa kidney failure and bowel failure at the same time and barely survived. i also do pray for people with it.
I know what it's like to have this disease . When I was in year three I remember being carried out of school because I couldn't walk , I remember screaming because it hurt to fully extend my legs to stand , I remember sleeping in the hospital with my dad and seeing him cry. The disease is horrible and I pray for all those with it xx
I got HSP this year and had it for 6 months, Im sure I was very lucky to get it off so well , but still it was the most painfull months in my entire life! My feets and legs looked horrible.. Shitting blood wasent so nice either, sorry if i made you (reader) a little ill there:P. HSP is nothing to play with, its really painfull
i got Hsp when I was in 1st grade and its occurence from st to 7th, and still get it, my nody cant fight off colds, I almost died when I was in 1st. and Scared to death. God bless everyone with this dieases, because i know how it is.
just spent 3 traumatic days with my son in hospital- he has been diagnosed with hsp- life was normal only a week and 1/2 ago- very scary- hope it never occurs again-outcome doesn't look very promising- never prayed so hard in my life before-worst experience ever!!!!!!!!
I'm a 42 year old male. I've had HSP twice - once at age 24 (it lasted for a couple of months on and off) and once at age 36 (it went on for about 4 years on and off and got pretty severe at points). Both times I completely recovered although I did had some kidney problems the last time (protein and blood in urine) - but everything is normal now. This is not how the medical books describe the disease so don't expect your case to follow the textbook exactly.
@bostonalltheway1 hi. ahh i'm really sorry to hear that. how is she doing now? I had henoch-schonlein purpura when I was 4, I can't remember anything about it at the time but I remember being in hospital over christmas. I've been in and out of hospital since then for kidney problems and suffer from abdominal pain due to poor bowel movements weekly. I was just wondering did your daughter ever suffer kidney problems? I am 16 - I thought I am safe as it is 12 years from when I had it.
