  • i know christian musicians who devote many hours of practice but little time for the Lord, music can be idolized, also almost worshiping the instrument itself, or being too focused on ur instrument and having cool licks and solos or whatever that ur focus isnt on jesus any more but on music, playing a worship song without Blessing Jesus and entering into his presence is like dressing all up for a big romantic date and then not going to the date..

  • Mate is not about you it's about God ! If u do

Music to please your ego and think God is pleased with it , it is nothing else by ego , and it does not glorified Him , and the main thing in worship must be Him .

  • @inhim03 I agree,I used to lead our worship band and the truth of scripture was secondary to the notes of a song in their estimation, they didn't care if the song had a false gospel attached to it,just as long as the song sounded good .,I no longer attend there.

  • ive been playing guitar for 14 years, four years of this time i was born again, i have bought expensive guitars, many guitars actually, but i noticed i was treating the guitars like if they where sacred, i didnt want them ruined in any way, but it was idolatry, so i gave them away to worshippers, and just kept one, we cant love the things of this world, now i just have one and use it to worship our Lord, thats my only goal, and i keep it simple i have guitar pedals but dont get too into them..

  • im a guitarist and i worship God and use it only for him, Jesus is the source and object of our worship, this is true because i started once idolizing music, i was focusing to much on making it sound great and being too technical where my focus was my guitar, but the Holy spirit convicted me, i noticed when i just played simple chords in stuff is when Gods presence came and i was blessed.

  • I Know what he is talking about I have experienced this myself listening to christian music/Klove regularly however I have experienced God's presence even in those places where there isn't a "Music Director" and singing out of a hymnal those are the times I just want to thank God

  • Great point brother Paul.

  • @davo9678 yes i can understand the difficulties that comes with while you are serving on stage, just encouraged by this verse

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;You know that your real master will give you an inheritance as your reward. It is Christ, your real master, whom you are serving. " Colossians 3: 24

i've sent you some personal videos too, hope you will be encouraged by it,

  • @sheepany Thank you sheepany really appreciate it. Yes i am trying to do it for God, but really when Im on stage in circular events, I really only think about the music. The only effect it has on people is that they love it and the music sounds great. We're all dressed up smart and we're not influencing sexual desires or demonic influences. We're just influencing music. But once again thank you and God bless :)
