At Nintendo's Fall Press Conference in Japan, it was revealed that Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 were among a collection of Gamecube games being remade for the Wii platform and sold at budget prices called the ''New Play Control!'' selections. The games will have new motion based controls and slightly improved graphics. There is no word on whether or not the games will be seen outside of Japan. Although based on the original game's sales in America it is safe to assume the U.S. will see them at some point.

This NEW PLAY CONTROL schematics will augment the controls of the Metroid Prime game to the Wii Controller. Besides this, graphics will improve slightly and functions, like the Scan Visor, changing Visors, Ball Jumping, and Aiming, will follow the Corruption theme. it isn't revealed when the game will make it's way to U.S. yet.

  • they do in the metroid prime triolgy

  • That Japanese... they say: '' Wii Metroido Pryme''

  • wish they'd sell it in NA and EU

  • Looks great, I hope to see this in America!

  • It's not out yet, and It won't be out till I think mid april in Japan.

  • i cannot find that game ANYWHERE!!!

  • Its the + button. I found out in another video. You can make it the - button if you want. And you'd get used to switching beam weapons to the point that you can switch as fast as you can with the GC controller's d-pad.

  • Oh, like a toggle mode. Against prime though... thats not the best option. I'd get confused and be switchin beams so quick i'd miss it!

  • Simple. Hypermode is not in Metroid prime and I know for a fact that you can switch beams. My closest guess is using the + button in a similar way you do the - button for visor selection.
