Hi,
CyberGameArts here with the 15th Cryengine SDK tutorial. Today we are going to look at Layers, a concept that allows a development to have nicer workflow and enjoy the gift of organization. To create a layer you have to go to the layers tab and click on new Layer. Be sure to have external checked on so you can see that Layer you made in your Install directory!

  • Hey... nice tutorials I follow step by step all the things that you did... and well I have a nice perspective of a terrain... but i have a little problem with the export to engine (yea, you talked about it in the last tutorial) when I export it my painted textures becomes white... Do you know the reason? excelent work, keep doing this

  • @DLEScorphame did you use custom textures

  • maybe you can make a big project for example a game but you cut this in little videos where you explain all the parts of the project.

  • @hydroxoniumionplus I will do that at the end

  • I have a problem with my cube, or it is too deep in the ground or he flies a little bit. I have used CTRL +SHIFT but it doesn't work. Can you help me? Good video ;)

  • @Lecarcos did you left click on the ground?

  • @DLEScorphame

file/generate surface texture, then save and try launcher again.

  • @CyberGameArts dude, in the last tutorial you said you didnt know how to exit, its just open console and type: quit

  • @DLEScorphame Click File>Generate Terrain Texture. Check High quality and click okay.

  • @tothmarcell97 I found the solution... just when you change the material of the terrain modify color on the material setup...

  • @DLEScorphame I have the same problem. I painted green grass, and when I export to engine, it becomes white. If I reload the project in the editor, it's okay, but the grass is white in the launcher too. If you find a workaround please send it to me. (I'm going to send it to you too, if I could find one of course.) Thanks.

  • @CyberGameArts No, I used the textures of SDK...
