Matthew Price - The Nightingale

I wrote this song for a very special friend of mine (you know who you are ^.^), and played it for my school's first talent show. (c/o 2011 mo'fugga!) What started as an opening little riff turned into this piece; it uses a really weird but beautiful tuning called Open C add 9, which I snagged off Mark Holcomb (Haunted Shores) and tuned my acoustic up to it. As a huge fan of fingerstyle guitar (Kaki King, Andy McKee, Michael Hedges) this is actually my first full song on an acoustic, let alone first fingerstyle piece. I hope you enjoy.
