Pierre Castonguay is discussing about : Board Certification, Certification Examinations and Certifying Agencies. He reminds us that physicians are self-employed individuals who are included in a ratio patients-physician system. This system have an impact on the number of students accepted in universities for medical specialties. The rarity of a specialist has a direct impact on his salary. Along with the phamaceutical industry behaviour and the insurance companies behaviour, this ratio is part of the problem of the health care high costs.
