(2006 playoffs) "The heartbreaker"
In one of the toughest losses for any Lakers fans, Kobe did all he could to help his team advance to 2nd round. He came really close after hitting one clutch shot after another. Kobe scored 50pts including a franchise record 12 in OT, but it wasn't enough that night. Remember, we were just 6 sec from an historic upset...

  • wow, how bad did kobe want this win. His only flaw is being surrounded by underachievers.

  • damn you Kwame Brown.... stay in front of damn tim thomas.... this still hurts :p

  • @ghostofkenny just so you now the comentator is kevin harlen not marv albert but albert is still good :d

  • His last game being #8

  • @Anthonydp no that would have been game 7 of this series

  • @7:37 that is one of kobe's most ridiculous shot, even some of the suns players in the bench was like.."cmon,that's not fair!"

  • I don't think people realize how simply AMAZING the last two shots he made were..

  • Old Payton and old, injured Malone played a big part, but KB outside of one game had a terrible series. Shaq was the most efficient player on the court, while KB continued to gun it up.

LBJ at his best has been just as effective statistically as MJ. He's just not finished product yet, although him ever coming through at the end isnt promised. I will say that Kobe entertains me just as much as Mike did though cause he makes shots noone has ever even dreamed of taking late in postseason games.

  • @18brandon92 "he was a more effective player"

    Certainly true.

04' Pistons winning. Throwing in old Payton and Malone out of the blue to mess with the defense/offense - KB didn't change, the entire team dynamic did.

LBJ being closer. Meh. Statistically, sure. Lets see how he does this year, maybe when Duncan, KB, Nash, Celtics, etc. get even old(er) and retire then he'll win his string of rings. He had a sub-par run this post-season though. Gonna be a fun couple of years, these next few.

  • @thiennguyenX2 The degree of difficulty in the shots he misses is what makes a difference. As far as effectiveness, get real. KB's off and def win shares arent on MJs level at all. LBJ is closer than KB is. Kb's the reason why the Lakers lost to the Pistons in 04 & is why they lose a lot of games that they could've won had he been more effective. Bad shot selection hurts any team exponentially & its no excuse when you've had Shaq, Gasol & Bynum. MJ isnt a god, but he was a more effective player.
