Am I crazy, but I love Frank Richardson's voice. Catchy tune, too. I keep humming it.

Dixie sang with Bing on two recordings, I think made in 1937 or 1938. One was called The Way You Look Tonight. The other, perhaps on the reverse side, was A Fine Romance.

Heres the eighteen year old Dixie Lee singing her heart out, unaware that her short life will be tinged with tragedy and unhappiness. Wonderful clip, rather poignant as well.

@darkkoolman1 It's neat that you are into this at 12 . I liked jazz age stuff at age 12, but all I had was my 78s, since youtube and the internet did not exist.
Hope you enjoy them all!

Very nice to see and hear Dixie Lee in this film clip. I knew who she was from books on Bing Crosby but I hadn't seen her in a film. She is a very good singer in the 1920's style in this film clip.

Dixie Lee sure was a cutie. Too bad her life has such a sad end. I have always wanted to see her film "Redheads On Parade" from 1935. Anyone here seen it? Does it still exist?

Dixie Lee did not renew her Fox Contract in order to solidify her marriage to Crosby. Very talented woman. By looking at the close-ups of the Chorus Girls while Patricaola is dancing it appears that this segment was originally shot in Two color Technicolor. Was "Happy Days" originally all or part Technicolor?

Unfortunately this was NOT shot in color. Fox shot this entire movie in Black and White for their Widescreen Grandeur process. Any evidence of color in this print owes to its poor condition.
