A stack of books sits in a chair and, on them, a monitor abuts a small table. The surface of the table holds water, forming a small rectangular pool in front of the monitor. The monitor depicts a woman's face, her chin resting on her folded hands. The titles of the books represent the woman's moral background. The woman gazes dreamily at her spectators, her surroundings, and the water reflecting her image. The viewer wonders whether the piece is complete; whether something more will happen. Then, the woman puckers her lips and blows, creating genuine ripples on the surface of the water. The video image is thus connected to the physical reality, bringing the woman's thoughts, gaze, and breath with it.
