To the 13 year old who wants to pierce their lip: first and foremost, do not do it yourself. Piercings at home, especially ones involving the mouth, are no small matter. Also, piercing your lip won't stop your parents reaction. They will make you take it out, punish you, and/or take it out themselves. My advice: get a fake one! It's just a little loop that goes on your lip, you can buy a set for like $2 at Hot Topic (i've done it before), and wait till at least age 15 to pierce anything.
