Hallelujah - John Cale ☆ cover.

as some of you may know, i was in Christchurch for the recent, devastating earthquake. my power just got restored and all i wanted to do was sing.

i know it's stupid, but singing has always brought me hope in desperate times, and this was all i could think of to do.
this song really spoke to me today - i'm not exactly sure why. my emotions are overloaded right now - worried, scared, lucky, incredibly happy to be alive and to have my family and incredibly sad for those who've lost theirs.

i'm not sure what else to say except that i know this isn't going to make things better. but it's a way to express all my feelings and get them out there.
i know it's a mess and really quick, but i hope you'll like it.

my heart goes out to all the people waiting to hear from family & friends, and to all the rescuers working tirelessly to bring people home. i'm so sorry i can't do more.
