What a brilliant video, thanks for posting this, brings back good memories.

This really did have a unique harmonic sound when moving.

@ClassicTVMan81 yes there was only one, the prototype KC bus that had the KD running gear, fleet number was KC1 or factory designation was "B1" built by FFG in Hamburg in 1979, this prototype was completely off-the-wall, unlike the others it was fitted with a Detroit 6V-71 and an Allison V730 gearbox, with Rockwell front and rear axles!!
To make things even more interesting, one of the prodction models of the KD double deckers, KD146, was fitted with KC running gear! Talk about a bit Irish!!

@kayleighreddin - I know I said I do "requests" but this is a bit outta my league!!

STILL SOUND LIKE A LYNX BUT WITH THE ZF SOUNDS MAD
-
That groaning/whining almost sounds identical to the hub-reduction on a Mercedes O305 or M.A.N SL200!
I remember these so well! Didn't realize there was any left, How many of them are actually left?

@donaghtlc - this bus is a preserved vehicle and doesnt carry passengers anymore, it's privately owned by myself and attends vintage shows/rallies and is used occasionaly in films. Whilst this is the only preserved one currently in Dublin Bus green there's about 25+ of these buses preserved all over the country.
